This Wild Liger is based on the "Black King" that Raoh, a popular character in Fist of the North Star, uses as his favorite horse in the film. Wild Riger, the star of Zoids Wild, is decorated in the shape of the Black King. The design of the Wild Riger reproduces the Black King by incorporating not only the coloring, but also the Kenno-Ohgun mark and the Black King's distinctive triangular reins.
