Lost dreams connect across time! The long-awaited Decepticons join the “Missing Link” series?a virtual reissue of figures that might have existed back in the day. Introducing the intelligence officer “Soundwave”! “Soundwave,” one of the series’ most popular characters, transforms into a stereo cassette and deploys his Cassetron squad from his chest. True to the original G1 style?with the same size as the original and partial use of zinc alloy?he has been revived in the Missing Link series, featuring articulated joints for free posing, a new transformation mode, and luxurious accessories. Included with this release is the “Scout Robo” Cassetron, making its first-ever 3D appearance with a brand-new design. Appearing in the episode “Two Convois” of the anime *Battle! Super Robot Lifeforms Transformers*, this scout drone-type Cassettron?which conducted a survey of the Colonius Crystal?is a legendary character that has never been commercially released before. With this Missing Link release, the vacant spot in the Cassettron lineup is finally filled. For Soundwave himself, some of the patterns that were originally reproduced with stickers have been recreated here through sculpting and painting. Foil stickers are also included for those who wish to apply them. Furthermore, thanks to a completely redesigned joint system, the figure can now assume significantly more dynamic action poses, such as “one-knee stance” and “eject pose.” It can also transform into “Light Standard Mode”?a third mode first seen in the anime’s first episode, “The Road to Earth.” In this mode, it takes on the appearance of a streetlight from its home planet, Cybertron, to deceive the Autobots. Accessories include familiar equipment such as the Electric Launcher, Vibration Blaster Gun, and Barrier Case, as well as headphones, a command microphone, and a cord?features characteristic of the domestic Japanese version from that era. (The headphones are intended for display purposes only; we do not recommend actually attaching them to the head.) A “Secret Emblem” is affixed to the main bodies of Soundwave and the Scout Robot; when warmed with your finger, the faction emblem appears. Each figure also features a joint hole for a separately sold stand, allowing you to display them in dynamic poses. The package artwork is an original illustration inspired by the era, and a collectible card is included.
