Lost dreams connect across time! The long-awaited Decepticons join the “Missing Link” series?a virtual reissue of figures that might have existed back in that era. Introducing the intelligence officer “Soundwave (Anime Type)!” “Soundwave,” one of the series’ most popular characters, transforms into a stereo cassette and deploys his cassette troops from his chest. True to the G1 style?with the same size as the original and partial use of zinc alloy?he has been revived in the Missing Link series, featuring articulated joints for free posing, a new transformation mode, and luxurious accessories. This Anime Type version includes the Cassettron “Condor: Sabertron Mode (Anime Type),” newly designed and making its first-ever 3D appearance in the G1 format. This Cassetron first appeared in the first episode of the anime *Battle! Super Robot Lifeforms Transformers*, titled “The Road to Earth.” It depicts Condor’s form on Cybertron, yet it is a “phantom character” that has never been released in G1 format before; this Missing Link release adds a new Cassetron to the lineup. The Soundwave (Anime Type) figure itself brings the mechanical sculpt?which was originally depicted as a flat design using stickers?to life in three dimensions. Foil stickers are also included for you to apply as desired. Furthermore, thanks to a completely redesigned joint system, the figure can now assume significantly more dynamic action poses, such as “one-knee stance” and “eject pose.” It can also transform into the “Light Standard Mode” shown in the first episode of the anime, “The Road to Earth,” as its third mode. It takes on the appearance of a streetlight from its homeworld, Cybertron, to deceive the Autobots. In addition to familiar accessories such as the Electric Launcher, Vibration Blaster Gun, and Barrier Case, the set includes headphones, a command microphone, and a cord?features characteristic of the domestic Japanese version at the time?with slightly altered coloring compared to the D-01 Soundwave (sold separately). (The headphones are intended for display purposes only; we do not recommend actually attaching them to the head.) The bodies of Soundwave (Anime Type) and Condor in Cybertron Mode (Anime Type) feature a “Secret Emblem”; when warmed with your finger, the faction emblem appears. Each figure is also equipped with a joint hole for a separately sold stand, allowing you to display them in dynamic poses. The package illustration is an original drawing inspired by the era, and a collectible card is included.
