Length=235 mm (photo shows assembled and painted kit) [Re-release after 24 years! ] The Porsche 935 Martini is a Group 5 machine developed for the 1976 Manufacturer's World Championship race. Based on the production car 930 Turbo, this high performance racing car underwent major modifications from body to mechanism. Although it was stipulated that the exterior (silhouette) be retained, the body was transformed into a powerful figure with front and rear over fenders, a flat nose, and a large rear wing, while also achieving weight reduction. The 2857cc air-cooled, horizontally opposed 6-cylinder turbo engine produced 590 hp, and the suspension and brakes were also strengthened. The car won four out of seven races that year, giving Porsche the championship title. [Model Details] This model is for display only. Overall length 235mm, width 105mm, height 96mm. Slick tires are made of solid rubber. Antenna wire on the roof is made of sharp stainless steel. Slide marks are made by Cartograf. Car number 1 and 3 are available. Engine hood can be detached even after completion. Driver doll is included. Two types of helmet markings are available. The horizontally opposed 6-cylinder turbocharged engine and interior are finished with a full three-dimensional effect. White logo and red and blue stripes are vividly reproduced. Information is current as of 04/20/2023. Product name, price, release date, and specifications are subject to change without notice. (From Tamiya website)
