The F-35 Lightning II, developed as a fifth-generation fighter with excellent stealth performance, was simultaneously developed in three models: a conventional landing type (F-35A), a short takeoff and vertical landing type (F-35B), and a shipborne type (F-35C), and deployment has been underway since 2015, mainly by the U.S. military. Among them, the F-35C, developed as a shipborne type, has a larger wing, vertical tail, and horizontal tail area than the F-35A and F-35B to improve landing and takeoff performance on aircraft carriers, and its cruising range has also increased.
