[Green giant fought to defend his country]
The heavy tank of the Soviet army adopted in 1939 is the KV-1.
Among the various types of KV-1s produced, the 1941 model is equipped with a long-barreled 76.2mm gun ZIS-5 that can penetrate the armor of a German tank of the same period from a long distance.
Early production vehicles had a basic turret of 75 mm thick armor, assembled by welding armor steel plates.
In June 1941, the KV-1, which set out with the start of the German-Soviet battle, made use of its high defensive and offensive power to persistently defend itself.
It stopped the invincible German army and contributed greatly to the subsequent victory of the Soviet army.
