The Superleggera V4 was unveiled in February 2020 as the best public road-going model in Ducati's history. Based on the company's Panigale V4 supersport, the Superleggera V4 is a thoroughly lightweight model. The cowl, frame, swingarm, and wheels are all made of carbon. The engine is a 998cc V4 with a "desmodromic valve timing system. With an Akrapovic exhaust for circuit use, it delivers a maximum output of 234 hp. The front cowl is fitted with a carbon aerodynamic "biplane wing" that produces 50 kg of downforce at 270 km/h (62 mph). This is a premium bike, limited to 500 units worldwide, assembled by Ducati's skilled craftsmen using all of Ducati's technologies. Model Details Overall length 176 mm, overall width 67 mm, overall height 98 mm. V-type 4-cylinder engine, swingarm, front fork, side cowl and fuel tank are fixed to the frame with screws. The four wings on the front cowl, the seat cowl with tunnel-shaped openings on the left and right sides, and the silencer integrated with the under cowl shape are realistically reproduced in their characteristic forms. The chain is divided into left and right parts, and even the roller parts are represented three-dimensionally. The rear area has a more precise appearance. Inlet marks are used on the side mirror surfaces. The red gradation pattern on the side cowl and the carbon fiber ground are slide marks. Tires are made of synthetic rubber with engraved tread pattern. Pirelli tire markings are also included. Cantilevered swing arm gives the rear view a racer-like lightness. The intricate shape of the four "biplane wings," inspired by Moto GP machines, are faithfully reproduced. Cowl and tank cover can be removed even after completion. 998cc V-type 4-cylinder engine and fuel tank are fixed to the frame with screws. The rear shock mounted on the rear of the engine and the exhaust pipe are also highlights of the model (images shown unpainted). The drilled brake rotors and brembo calipers are precision finished. The chain is split into left and right parts to reproduce a three-dimensional shape. The chain roller portion and the drill-holed rear brake rotors add to the sense of precision. Tires are made of textured synthetic rubber with sculpted tread pattern. Racing stand is included. Silencer integrated with under-cowl shape. Carbon fiber decals are provided to match the cowl shape. Steering damper, air box above the engine and battery are also included. Display screen has a choice of street or race mode decals. Seat cowl with tunnel-shaped openings on both sides. Clear parts are used for front and rear lights and indicators. Can be displayed with collapsible side stand.
