Plastic Military Vehicle Model Assembly Kit 1/35 Military Miniature Series No.380 1/35 british cruiser tank comet 1/35 SCALE BRITISH CRUISER TANK A34 COMET Length=219 mm The photo shows the kit assembled and painted. The compilation of British tanks born of the determination to defeat Germany. The Comet was introduced at the end of World War II as a British tank that could compete with the powerful German tanks such as the Tiger and Panther. The basic structure of the vehicle was based on the Cromwell, the main tank of the past, and the main gun was equipped with a Q.F. 77mm gun, comparable to the 17-pounder gun, which was said to be the most powerful anti-tank gun in Britain at the time. The turret was enlarged to accommodate the new main gun, giving it a more modern appearance. In its first battle in the Rhine Crossing Operation in March 1945, the Comet struggled mainly to support the infantry, demonstrating the power of its 77mm gun without regret. Its well-balanced performance in terms of offensive, maneuverability, and defensive capabilities was highly appreciated by the crew and infantry. Model Details 1/35 scale plastic model kit of the Comet. Overall length and width are 219mm and 88mm, respectively. Based on the actual vehicle, the model is a realistic representation of the intrepid style with a long-barreled 77mm cannon on a flat body. The front of the car body and turret are realistically represented with cast texture. The canvas cover of the shield is also a highlight. The crawler tracks are made of one straight part and connected together. The ducts at the rear of the body, called "Normandy cowl", can be selected from two types: one with left and right sides integrated, and one with both sides separated. The lens of the searchlight on the side of the turret is a clear part. Two half figures of the crew in winter uniform and two types of markings are included. The long-barreled 77mm gun mounted on the flat body of the vehicle is eye-catching and realistically modeled in its modern and intrepid appearance. Includes half-length statues of the loader and captain in winter uniform. The pose of looking forward through the hatch creates a sense of realism. The canvas cover of the shield is also a highlight of the model. The front part of the body is equipped with a forward machine gun, a visor for the driver, and headlights. The wire rope is reproduced in 6 parts with a complex shape. The crawler tracks are assembled in one straight section and are connected together. Note the three-dimensional detail and the subtle sagging of the upper part. The upper support wheel has pins for positioning the track for easy assembly. Smoke generator and towing gear are also precisely finished. The duct called "Normandy cowl" has two selectable shapes. The Normandy cowl is divided into two parts in the center so that the gun barrel can be locked toward the rear. Parts for external equipment such as shovels and crowbars are also included. Freely positionable helmet and gas mask case are also provided. The vehicle body is assembled in a box-like shape, with each surface sharply sculpted. Internal bulkhead parts ensure strength and precision. Information is current as of August 26, 2022. Product name, price, release date, and specifications are subject to change without notice.
