A further development of the Leopard 2 A7, the A7V is a modified version of the Leopard 2 A6, which has been in operation since 2001. The A7V has additional armor in the front of the vehicle body to increase its defensive capabilities, and the undercarriage has been strengthened to cope with the increase in vehicle weight.
