Overall length=210 mm. Photo shows assembled and painted kit. 【 Israel's Savior, the Super Sherman 】 After its founding in 1948, Israel purchased surplus M4 Sherman tanks from Western nations, making them the core of its army. In the 1950s, it introduced the M4A1 Sherman tank equipped with the 76mm M1 gun to counter the Arab side's T-34/85. To distinguish it from the previous 75mm gun variant, it was named the M1 Super Sherman. It featured a rounded cast hull housing a radial air-cooled gasoline engine. Many vehicles were equipped with Vertical Volute Spring Suspension (VVSS) on the running gear. It saw its first combat deployment during the Second Arab-Israeli War, which erupted in October 1956, proving its worth in the desert battles of the Sinai Peninsula. It continued to fight valiantly in subsequent conflicts, with some vehicles remaining in service until the 1970s. 【 Model Specifications 】 A 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the M1 Super Sherman. ● Overall length: 210mm, Overall width: 75mm. Faithfully recreates the imposing presence of the cast hull with its 76mm gun, based on research of actual vehicles in Israel. ● The turret reproduces the late-production type with a main gun featuring a muzzle brake and a one-piece loader's hatch. ● The cast upper hull faithfully models the complex, curved form in full detail. ● The VVSS suspension system is finished with a three-dimensional look. ● The tracks reproduce the metal type known as T54E1. Realistic and easy-to-assemble belt-type tracks. ●Includes two half-body figures (commander and loader) and three types of decals depicting the Second Arab-Israeli War and other conflicts. 【 Initial Release Month 】 July 2011 The marking scheme from the Second Arab-Israeli War era?olive drab monochrome with only the hull number?offers a fresh look. The casting of the upper hull and turret's complex forms, along with the texture of the armor surface, delivers a richly realistic finish. Based on research of the actual vehicle at the Israel Latrun Tank Museum, this model faithfully captures the powerful appearance of the tank equipped with its 76mm gun.
