[Impressive Additional Armor: The Iraqi Army's T-55] The T-55 Enigma was an Iraqi Army modification of the T-55 deployed during the 1991 Gulf War. At the time, the Iraqi Army boasted significant firepower centered around Soviet-made T-72s and T-54/55s. Among these, the T-55 Enigma was characterized by its enhanced defensive capabilities, achieved by fitting additional armor to the turret and hull. During the Gulf War, it was deployed to regular army units and reportedly used as a command vehicle. Incidentally, the name “Enigma,” meaning “mystery” in English, was independently assigned by the multinational forces that captured this tank. 【 Model Specifications 】 This is a plastic model assembly kit of the T-55 Enigma. ● 1/35 scale, overall length 259mm, overall width 109mm. ● Realistically models the imposing appearance, dramatically transformed by adding additional armor to the T-55's turret and hull. ● The turret's additional armor features a separate frame part for excellent three-dimensionality. ● The upper hull integrates the additional armor frame.
