Photo shows assembled and painted kit. 【 Enhanced Armament Delivers Impressive Firepower 】 After the 1967 Third Arab-Israeli War, the Israeli Defense Forces designated captured T-55 tanks from Arab nations as the Tiran 5, utilizing them as valuable assets. Many vehicles had their main guns upgraded from the original 100mm cannon to the Western standard 105mm cannon. Additional armaments included an M2 heavy machine gun on the gun mantlet and extra machine guns for the commander and loader. Characteristic features include the added utility box on the right side of the turret. They fought valiantly as part of the tank forces during the October 1973 Yom Kippur War. Although they were withdrawn from frontline service in the early 1980s, they remained in use for training and rear-area duties, and were deployed during the Lebanon War. 【 Model Specifications 】 This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Tiran 5. ●Overall length: 252mm, Overall width: 96mm. Faithfully recreates the enhanced appearance, including the reinforced main gun, the M2 heavy machine gun added above the gun shield, the commander and loader's machine guns, and the mortar mount on the left side of the turret. ●Accurately reproduces the utility box on the right side of the turret, the baskets on the rear of the turret and hull, and water tanks in various locations. ● Includes two half-body figures (commander and loader) and one set of 1980s specification decals. 【 Initial Release Month 】 March 2013 Faithfully recreates the sleek form of the low, compact hull paired with a hemispherical turret. The main gun was upgraded from the T-55's 100mm to a 105mm cannon. A slide-on mark for the identification white band is provided. Highlights include the utility box on the right side of the turret (also used for friend/foe identification), the baskets on the turret and rear hull, and the water tanks in various locations. The engine grille is made of nylon mesh. The turret features realistic casting details. The M2 heavy machine gun on the upper glacis, the M1919 machine guns on both sides, and the 60mm mortar add to the imposing presence. Includes two half-body figures: a helmeted commander and loader.
