To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of *Transformers: The Movie*, an articulated figure featuring color schemes inspired by the animated film is now available from the MDLX line! The first releases are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron, and each of these three items comes with a card featuring an original illustration by Nobuyoshi Habara, who created the original artwork and illustrations for the TV anime series. The MDLX line of Transformers figures is based on the original 1980s TV anime series, with design adaptations by threezero’s Art Director, Kelvin Sau. The “MDLX Optimus Prime (‘Transformers: The Movie’ 40th Anniversary Edition)” is a fully articulated figure (non-transforming) standing approximately 17.8 cm tall. The use of a frame system made of die-cast zinc alloy and engineering plastic provides approximately 48 points of articulation and high durability. Compared to the standard edition of the “MDLX Optimus Prime (‘Transformers: The Movie’ 40th Anniversary Edition)” already released overseas, this version features a newly sculpted head part, and the backpack has been repainted red to match its appearance in the film. Included accessories are one Ion Blaster, one Energon Axe, one Autobot Matrix of Leadership, and six pairs of interchangeable wrist parts.
