A long M16 was prepared for inconvenient special forces, signallers, and air crews in Vietnam's jungle warfare. It features a muzzle device with a suppressor structure called a moderator equipped to suppress the firing noise and firing flame that increase with a shorter barrel, and a telescopic aluminum stock that is similar to the current M4 series. The M653 is a shortened version of the same M16, but equipped with a 14.5-inch barrel to which a bayonet for the M16 can be attached. This product is a compatibility kit that allows you to create either the XM177E2 or model 653 by selecting the barrel parts. M16A1 compliant receiver surroundings, older hand guard slimmer than M4, characteristic muzzle, etc. are reproduced as much as possible.
