Runner kit (no color) [Scale] 1/12 [Size] approx. 8cm in length / 6cm when stock is stored [Material] Resin (PS) [Other] Molding color: black The AR18, made in the U.S. during the Cold War, was designed to be a "popular model" for the M16 (AR15), the most advanced rifle adopted by the U.S. military at the time. While the M16 required cutting of forged aluminum for its body, the AR18 could be made from pressed steel plate. The M16's direct gas injection system was replaced by a more orthodox gas-pressure-operated piston system, a design that could be produced and used even in countries where industrialization was still in its infancy. As a result, the AR18 was never adopted in large numbers, but its design concept and construction were excellent in many respects, and it had a great influence on later rifle development. The AR18 is a gun that has been produced under license in many countries, such as the Type 89 in Japan and the L85 in England. Despite its small number, the AR18 is an indispensable part of firearms history...it is truly a hidden masterpiece. This kit not only reproduces the shape of the gun, but also provides a wide variety of selectable parts. The stock can be selected to open or close, the dust cover can be selected to open or close, and there are three types of dedicated magazines: 20, 30, and 40 rounds. You can also choose between a dedicated scope or dot sight. Figures and guns other than the product are not included. Use of adhesives for plastic models recommended.
