A modified model of the U.S. military's prototype armed UGV “MAARS” robot for a designated defense school. The concept is a “self-propelled heavy machine gun. The large-caliber machine gun has a powerful firepower that can strike even a large Ichthys, but it is very heavy, so it is not something that the designated defense school students can freely carry. The “Caliber Carrier” is the realization of the desire of the defending students that “it would be great if the heavy machine gun could run by itself...”. By adding a sighting sensor, it is possible to operate the gun only by remote control. In the future, it is expected to be used in autonomous combat using AI programs and in multi-platform support applications. Maho Kushii, a designated defense school student who participated in the test operation, nicknamed the gunner “Strolling Chopper-kun” because of the way he ran along with the gunner.
