Plastic model kit (unassembled, unpainted) [Scale] 1/8 [Size] Height: approx. 26cm (body: approx. 22cm, base: approx. 4cm) [Material] HIPS [Molding colors] Silver, clear, dark gray [Other] Display stand (made of paper) for display included 1/8 scale plastic model kit of "Maschinenmensch" (*1) by X PLUS. German silent film "Metropolis" was released in 1927, directed by Fritz Lang ("The mediator between the brain and hand must be the heart" is the eternal theme of the work) Walter Schulze-Mittendorf sculpted and created a mechanical man "Maria The work is a faithful reproduction of "Maria," a mechanical human sculpted and created by Walter Schulze-Mittendorf. She is a gynoid (*2) created by the scientist Rotwang, and is reminiscent of his former lover Helle, who later became the leader of her people, "Maria". (German actress Brigitte Helm plays both Hel and Maria.) The figure is posed in its most iconic pose, in awe of the work. The base then features a chair, an important icon in the scene, to recreate the key visual of the startup. (The back of the chair has a secret sculpture.) Maschinenmensch is perhaps one of the first and most iconic robots ever depicted on film. The first film to be included in UNESCO's Memory of the World, it has had a profound influence on subsequent feature films, television, and robot technology. We are proud to present Rotowang's greatest creation. This time, as a "Silver Screen Edition," Maria's body will be delivered in silver molding color. *1・・・・[Machine Man] in German *2・・・Female android
